Early birds stand to walk away with exciting gifts

PETALING JAYA: It pays to be an early bird when FemmeCity opens its doors today.
The exhibition-fair, to be launched by Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil early today, is over a three-day period at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Stage set: Preparations are well underway for FemmeCity that opens today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The first 1,000 visitors to FemmeCity daily will receive a FemmeCity shopping bag comprising goodies if they complete a survey form. What’s more, if they get their “passports” (attached to the form) stamped at all the seven blockbuster exhibitors – Canon, Triumph, Watson’s, Poh Kong, Himalaya, Tupperware and Yume Jewelry – and complete a slogan, they stand to win attractive prizes from the Valiram Group.
Prizes are luxury items from Chloe, Coach, Shanghai Tang and travel clocks from Tumi. The passports cum survey forms are available at the FemmeCity Information Counter to visitors aged 16 years and above.
Also not to be missed is Canon’s Best Friends Forever (BFF) contest. All you have to do is snap a picture with your “BFF” (be it a person or an object) in the most fun and creative manner at the Clove-Canon BFF photo wall located next to the Canon emporium and post it on the Galfitti Wall. The best three shots will win Canon Digital Ixus cameras.
There will be other games and contests galore, hosted by radio DJs from official radio stations RedFM, SuriaFM and 988 to keep the city lively and exciting.
The fair with the tagline “Streets Ahead For Women” is targeted at women who are intelligent, confident, discerning and willing to invest in products and services.
FemmeCity, organised by Clove, The Star’s monthly women’s pullout, is on from today till Sunday. Opening hours are from 11am to 7pm. Admission to the fair is free.
