Businessman wins RM17.5mil jackpot

PETALING JAYA: A businessman from Kuala Lumpur became an instant multi-millionaire after winning the RM17.5mil top prize in a Magnum 4D Jackpot.

The man, in his mid-40s, won RM17,513,358 in the draw last Wednesday.

He said he used the forecast chart on the Magnum 4D website before deciding on the winning combination 6282 (2nd Prize) + 2251 (3rd Prize).

“I have been buying Magnum 4D Jackpot since it was launched. I had multiple small winnings in the 4th and 5th prize categories and I continued to buy. Now, this is the biggest win,” he said in a statement yesterday.

“I will also expand my business and keep some money aside for my family.”

He added that he would donate some of his winnings to charity.

A Magnum representative said the forecast chart was a tool for customers to forecast their winning numbers.

“We have had instances where customers won on numbers they had chosen from the forecast chart, but this is definitely the biggest win ever,” the spokesman said.
