Water supply disruption in Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam
By WONG PEK MEI
PETALING JAYA: About 9,000 consumers were affected by water disruptions in a few areas in Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam due to low water level at several reservoirs.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), in a statement Saturday, said they are taking measures to increase the water supply to the Effingham, Bukit Gasing and Subang Airport reservoirs.
“The low water level in the reservoirs has caused the supply of water to the main pipe to be unstable,” it said, adding that estimated time of recovery is 8pm.
Syabas said lorries with water tanks would be mobilised to help supply water to the affected consumers.
The statement added that the public would be informed on the latest development on the disruption.
