Sex video: Datuk T trio enter mosque with bullet-proof vests; Eskay swears oath
By WONG PEK MEI
KUALA LUMPUR: All three members of Datuk T entered Masjid Amru Al-As, Bandar Baru Sentul, for an oath-taking ceremony and the trio appeared to be wearing bullet-proof vests under their clothes.
Only Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah completed the sumpah laknat (oath-cum-curse) ceremony at about 4.20pm Friday.
Eskay swore that Datuk Seri Anwar and himself were the men in the sex video and that Anwar was the actor in it.
Some of the protesters outside the mosque He said: “If I have committed slander then Allah will lay a curse on me."
Chaos broke out again among the crowd when the three were escorted out.
Earlier, chairman Abdul Razak Husin had said that he had been informed the ceremony was cancelled and had asked the rowdy crowd to leave.
But the trio, Tan Sri Rahim Thamby Chik dan Datuk Shuib Lazim, turned up at about 4.10pm.
On Thursday, Eskay had dared Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to take the oath, together with him, that the person resembling Anwar in the sex video was indeed the opposition leader.
The businessman had also invited those “who doubt the truth” to witness the ceremony at the Amru Al-As mosque in Bandar Baru.
Meanwhile, Bernana reported that Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice president N. Surendran claimed that Eskay's oath-taking was an act of desperation.
He said that Eskay was trying to convince the public that he was telling the truth about the sex video featuring a man resembling Anwar.
According to Surendran, the man in the video, which he had seen, was not Anwar.
"There are obvious and unmistakable physical differences, particularly the large and protruding stomach of the actor in the video," he said in a statement.
