Sex video: Eskay denies knowing or hiring woman
KUALA LUMPUR: Businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah says he does not know the woman in the controversial sex video featuring a man said to resemble Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"I did not provide the woman who was having sex with the man, as seen in the video recording. I don't wish to divulge everything as this case in still under investigation," he said Wednesday.
He was speaking to reporters after giving a statement to police on the commotion at the Amru Al-As Mosque in Bandar Baru Sentul here, after Friday prayers last week.
Eskay arrived at the Kepong police station at about 11am accompanied by a man in a Proton Waja and left two hours later after giving his statement.
When met by reporters outside the police station, Eskay said he came to explain why he made the 'sumpah laknat' (swearing in the face of divine retribution) at the mosque.
"The police asked me what happened at the mosque on that day and the reaction of the people inside.
"I told them what I saw inside the mosque, where there were mostly reporters and the rest were observers whom I did not know, and I heard some people shouting 'Qazaf'," he said.
Meanwhile, on the DNA sample he submitted to the police recently, Eskay said it was in connection with the Omega watch.
"At that time, I was holding the watch, so it would have the DNA traces," he added.
On Friday, Eskay swore on the Quran at the Amru Al-As Mosque that Anwar was the man in the sex video which was screened to the press last month.
He arrived at the mosque together with two other members of the "Datuk T" trio, namely former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik and former Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuaib Lazim at about 4.10pm.
Earlier, about 300 PKR supporters had gathered and caused a commotion in and outside the mosque to prevent Eskay from making the 'sumpah laknat'. - Bernama
