KUALA LUMPUR: The smartly-dressed man who drove off with a brand new gold Porsche Panamera worth RM900,000 was caught early Friday but the car is gone.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad said Friday that the man was picked up at house in Pandamaran, Klang, at about 3am.
Police believe the vehicle has been handed over to the person who arranged to have it stolen.
The man has been remanded for four days to help with further investigations, he said.
On Thursday, the man entered the Jalan Bukit Bintang showroom at 9am under the pretext of looking for someone, walked into the office, picked up an envelope which contained the key, got into the car and drove off.
The showroom personnel only realised that a car was being stolen when the security guard raised the alarm after noticing it being driven off without number plates.
Police urged anyone with information to contact the Dang Wangi police headquarters at 03-26977099 or the Kuala Lumpur police hotline 03-21460522.
