One injured as part of ceiling at Penang airport collapses after heavy rain

GEORGE TOWN: A 26-year-old customer service agent had a close shave when the ceiling near the check-in counter at the Penang International Airport here came crashing down after a heavy downpour early Monday.
Workers mopping excess water after part of the ceiling crash She suffered injuries to her head and was sent to the Penang Hospital for outpatient treatment.
Initial investigation showed that several portions of the ceilings were washed down by water overflowing from the roof gutters, during the 8.10am incident.
It had been raining heavily in the state since 4am.
