> CELEBRITY couple Scha Al-Yahya and Awal Ashaari have vehemently denied allegations that they stole clothes worth RM2,000 at the opening of a major retail outlet in the city.

Kosmo! reported that the couple, who have been targeted by gossip blogs over the past few weeks, said they were not that “foolish”.

“I am stressed, upset and hurt that I have been accused of stealing. It would be stupid of me to do such a thing as people would surely recognise me,” said Scha, adding that those who had pointed accusatorial fingers at them should provide evidence instead of merely spreading malicious lies.

“When Scha was accused, she was upset. Now, the blame has shifted to me,” said Awal.

The actor and model added that he had contacted the store, which confirmed that nothing had been stolen.

“I was invited to attend the opening of the store. The accusations are baseless. Those who are spreading these lies should stop it,” he said.
