Youth gets a beating for disturbing friend’s sleep
KUCHING: A youth from Bandar Baru Semariang here claimed that he was attacked with a broomstick for “disturbing people sleeping”.
Fitri Zakaria, 20, told Gita police that he went to a friend’s flat in Jalan Matang around 4am on Friday.
His friend came out to meet him but he was armed with a broomstick with which he attacked Fitri.
Fitri claimed that he sustained injuries to the head and face.
Somehow, he managed to escape more beating and went to lodge his report.
Meanwhile, a senior citizen also claimed that he was a victim of an attack on Thursday.
His assailants were his neighbours, claimed Wee, 67, from Kenyalang Park. It was due to a misunderstanding earlier.
The five neighbours approached him around 7pm and one of them was armed with a steel pipe.
He sustained head and body injuries as a result of the attack.
In another incident of assault, a yoga teacher claimed that he was attacked by six men during class on Tuesday.
Wong, 36, from Lorong Kapor told Simpang Tiga police that the attack happened around 8pm when he was at the yoga centre in Jalan Song.
His assailants beat him for no reason, and he sustained injury to the back of his head, which required seven stitches.
His ribs and face were also not spared, and Wong claimed that eight of his students witnessed the assault.
He sought treatment at a private hospital and lodged his police report on Friday.
