Barisan has proven its ability to walk the talk, says Soi Lek

Barisan Nasional may not be perfect but it has proven its ability to walk the talk, said Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.
The MCA president said the country's per capita income, for instance, had risen to RM30,000 last year from RM20,700 in 2009.
“Today, Malaysia is Asia's fifth most popular destination for foreign direct investment,” he pointed out at the opening of the MCA's 59th annual general assembly here yesterday.
“In terms of international position in the ease of doing business, Malaysia is at 18, up from its previous 23rd spot,” he said
Dr Chua said this was in stark contrast to the Pakatan Rakyat which could not even put in place an economic model for the country.
Dr Chua, who is also a member of the National Economic Council chaired by the Prime Minister, said the RM94bil in private sector investments last year also saw a 19.4% increase against that of 2010.
He attributed the thriving economy to the economic transformation programme under Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's leadership.
“Malaysia registered a 5.1% economic growth this year,” he said. “The Financial Times has described this as gravity-defying.”
