Factory worker charged with killing newborn by flinging her out of flat

PETALING JAYA: A factory worker was charged in the Sessions Court here Monday with killing her new born baby girl by flinging her out of a in Sungei Way flat last month.

Siti Fazlena Sahili, 20, pleaded not guilty to deliberately causing the death of her newborn daughter, weighing 2.8kg at the time, by throwing her out the window of her flat's bathroom here at 11am on Sep 16.

She was charged under section 309A of the penal code which carries a maximum jail sentence of 20 years on conviction.

Sessions Yasmin Abdul Razak set bail at RM12,000 with one surety and set next mention date for Nov 23.
