Score an invite to a smashing time at Lee’s wedding
PETALING JAYA: Fans of badminton champion Datuk Lee Chong Wei can score an invite to attend his Nov 9 wedding by answering a comment on his Facebook fan page from tomorrow.
A spokesman Sachi Choo said fans must “like” the Lee Chong Wei Official Fans Club page before posting a comment “I would like to attend the wedding dinner of Datuk Lee Chong Wei and Wong Mew Choo because ...”.
The contest will close on Nov 5 and the results will be announced on Nov 6. Fans can choose to answer in Bahasa Malaysia, English or Chinese.
“Lee and Wong will pick the 10 best comments for 10 fans to attend the wedding,” he said yesterday.
Due to limited seats, Choo said there was no plan yet to invite more fans if the response turned out to be overwhelming.
Lee and Wong, his girlfriend of 11 years, will have two wedding dinners to accommodate 2,500 guests.
The private tea ceremony takes place at their home on Nov 9, to be attended by family, relatives and friends.
This will be followed by two dinners one that night and another the following day at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. These are expected to be attended by sports personalities, local and foreign dignitaries and business associates.
Among those who have confirmed their attendance are Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon.
