Slow traffic on major highways

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic on the country's major highways is reported to be slow-moving Sunday as motorists return home after a long weekend.

Rain in parts of the country and accidents in several locations has prompted the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) to urge motorists to drive carefully.

According to LLM tweets the accidents were at Km134.4 south-bound (Sungai Dua-Juru) and Km153.8 from Bukit Tambun heading to Jawi south-bound.

It also stated that traffic was slow from Senawang to Nilai, with the volume of cars moving towards Kuala Lumpur increasing.

LLM advised motorists to drive to their destinations carefully and avoid slowing down their vehicle to look at the accidents.

PLUS tweets say that traffic heading toward Kuala Lumpur from the north was particularly slow between Seberang Jaya and Juru, Taiping Utara and Menora Tunnel, Ipoh Utara and Spg Pulai and Bidor and Slim River.
