MUKAH: A monsoon drain, which runs through the centre of the town here, has become the centre of attraction of sorts over the past few days.

Motorists and passers-by just could not resist stopping to take a peek into it to satisfy their curio- sity.

The drain has been a huge draw ever since news spread about two crocodiles spotted inside it last Sunday.

Many who turned up, however, returned home disappointed.

The reptiles, it is learnt, did not show up for long and disap- peared into the murky water in the drain.

Members of the public who were lucky enough to spot the crocodiles claimed that they were of different sizes. The smaller one is believed to measure 1.7m long.

A random check by The Star could not confirm how and when the reptiles found their way into the drain.
