Man arrested for molesting girlfriend's daughter

PETALING JAYA: A 11-year-old girl suffered nearly two years of molestation and sexual abuse by her mother's boyfriend before she built up the courage to speak out.
The girl, who has two younger siblings, had been violated repeatedly by the 28-year-old man whenever her mother, a masseuse, was not home.
Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Tuah Masrom said the man had been forcing himself on the girl since he moved into her 48-year-old mother's apartment at Kota Damansara about two years ago.
“He allegedly forced her to have oral sex with him and molested her,” he said during a press conference at Petaling Jaya headquarters on Wednesday.
The girl's ordeal came to light when she girl told a teacher about the abuse.
Supt Tuah said the teacher had been concerned about the girl's antisocial behaviour and had gently questioned her on her problems before the girl revealed the truth.
“Following the information from the teacher and a police report from the doctor who examined the girl, we arrested the man, who is unemployed, around 10am on Wednesday at his parents' house in Klang,” he said.
He said the girl's mother, a three time divorcee, had no knowledge of the abuse.
“As far as we can tell, he did not sexually abuse the girl's younger siblings, her nine-year-old brother and six-year-old sister,” he said.
