Housewife running illegal lottery nabbed
KUANTAN: A housewife, who is believed to be an illegal lottery mastermind, was caught by police in a raid at a house in Kampung Sungai Penjuring near Bentong Wednesday evening.
While under observation, the woman, 51, was said to be busy writing what was believed to be illegal lottery records.
According to Pahang CID secretariat officer ASP Noor Asyikin Shamsuri, police cordoned off the house at about 5.45pm before ordering her to open the door.
"When we were introducing ourselves, the woman tried escape through the back door and was apprehended.
"Police found 89 slips with four digit bettings and seized a calculator and mobile phone," he said here Thursday. - Bernama
