PETALING JAYA: Even with a hectic acting schedule, Jehan Miskin makes time to dive into his favourite outdoor activity.

The 33-year-old movie hunk has been a scuba diving buff since 1999, exploring the bottom of the sea and watching sea creatures of all kinds swimming in poetic motion.

“The feeling is hard to describe,” he said when interviewed by mStar the Malay news portal of The Star adding that the underwater world continually beckons him and he has done more than 120 dives.

“I have gone diving at many places within and outside the country,” he said, naming, among his favourite diving haunts, Sipadan Island in Sabah and Pahang's Tioman Island.

He has also dived in the Maldives, Manado in Indonesia and other diving destinations abroad.

“I dive to calm my mind. Diving gives me an extraordinary satisfaction, especially when I get to see strange but beautiful creatures at the bottom of the sea,” added Jehan, saying that one needs to have patience and a high level of concentration to avoid “unwanted” situations.

“If you make a wrong move, something terrible might happen.

“However, I have gone diving many times and I have become accustomed to it,” said Jehan, who is also involved in underwater conservation projects.

He is due to return to the silver screen at the end of the year, with Sepah the Movie and Awan Dania the Movie and Prince of the City in February next year.

What he looks forward to at the moment, however, is filming Astro Ria' s Fear Factor Celebrity Malaysia, which is due to be shot in Cape Town, South Africa, from Oct 23 to Nov 15.

He had taken part in the daredevil game show, which pits contestants against each other in a variety of stunts, in a special edition last year.

“I cannot wait to face the challenges that will be given in this next show.

“I am a bit worried though if I get asked to swim in a pool because I am not good at swimming.

“It is not the same as diving, you know,” he quipped.
