S’gor state assembly sitting commences on Nov 19, says Khalid


BESTARI JAYA: The Selangor budget will be tabled at the State Assembly sitting on Nov 19, said its Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

He said the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah had given his consent to hold the sitting on that date but had yet to agree to the proposal to hold a special sitting of the State Assembly.

An appointment to meet the Sultan on the proposal would be arranged before the State Assembly sitting, he told reporters after launching the Ijok constituent Dataran Anak Muda, here Saturday.

Last Wednesday, the state government had proposed to hold a special State Assembly sitting to discuss matters pertaining the takeover of Talam Corporation Bhd, the state water industry revamp and the voters' list which was alleged to be doubtful.

Abdul Khalid also said an allocation of RM15mil would be channeled to build Dataran Anak Muda for another 55 constituencies this year, costing between RM200,000 and RM300,000 each. - Bernama
