DAP’s ‘play-acting’ should be rejected, says Chai

KUALA LUMPUR: The people should reject the DAP's tactics of play-acting' to hoodwink voters to support them, said MCA Youth secretary-general Datuk Chai Kim Seng.

He said DAP leaders had been manipulating political issues for the party's own interests.

Among the issues was the party's attempts to cause disunity among the races by destroying the social contract and mutual trust that has been enjoyed by all Malaysians for more than 50 years, he added.

Chai said DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng was fully aware of the intention by PAS to establish an Islamic state and implement hudud laws.

“However, he has kept the PAS vision from being disseminated to the rakyat.

“While it is MCA that has been issuing many warnings against hudud law, the DAP, on the other hand, is deceiving the people into voting for PAS by campaigning for the Islamist party,” he said in a statement.

Chai said the Pakatan Rakyat has been critical of the 1Malaysia concept by banning the use of the logo in Selangor.

“Such tactics of play-acting and stirring up political hatred in Penang and Selangor will have a negative impact on the nation's democratic system.

“The rakyat can prevent this by supporting the 1Malaysia concept in the coming general election,” he said.
