PM: Malaysia can achieve success if united

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has reiterated the importance of national unity in conjunction with the Ma'al Hijrah 1434 (Islamic New year) celebrations here Thursday.
He said the transformation of Malaysia could only succeed based on a strong unity among its people.
Hijrah (translated as migration) in its broader meaning can also mean changes, said Najib.
"This transformation or change must fulfil several criteria (including) the practice of moderation, fairness, and inclusiveness at all levels.
"In Malaysia's context, it is clear that we have been practising these.
"Unity is not easy, requiring willingness and sacrifice, but it is not impossible," Najib said when launching the national celebrations at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.
