Hisham: No fallout from Israeli strikes in Gaza

GOMBAK: Malaysia do not expect any fallout from the present Israeli attacks in Gaza, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
With the authorities monitoring events on the ground in Gaza, Hishammuddin said he believed that Malaysia or any foreign embassy in the country would not be a target of terrorists.
He warned, however, that heavy military action by Israel on Gaza could bring a rise to militancy.
"And it's not just the extremist militants. Even with those who are not extremist in nature, by looking at Israel's heavy handedness, will feel angry at them," he told reporters at Batu Umno division's mass circumcision ceremony here on Monday.
Hishammuddin revealed that the Government had been monitoring for over a year, the two Malaysians caught in Lebanon for allegedly having links to terrorist group Al-Qaeda.
"We are already aware of them but they did not show anything about planning an attack on Malaysian soil," he said.
He was referring to Muhamad Razin Sharhan Mustafa Kamal and Razif Mohd Ariff who are facing trial in Lebanon.
