Price control scheme for Deepavali from Nov 8-17
PUTRAJAYA: The price control scheme on essential items for the Deepavali festival will begin on Nov 8.
Fourteen items have been included in the scheme, in which their maximum prices have been set.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said among the items were chicken, local mutton, imported lamb, tomato and Australian kacang dhal.
He said during the enforcement period of the scheme which will end on Nov 17, traders were required to display the prices of the items in pink.
