Johor MB: Iskandar Malaysia on track to becoming regional growth centre
By MOHD FARHAAN SHAH
JOHOR BARU: Southern Johor is set to become a regional growth centre in the region as the Iskandar Malaysia project's development is on track, said Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman.
"We have reached the tipping point and Iskandar Malaysia is well and truly on track to bring about the changes that we envisioned when it first came into being," he said in his speech on investment opportunities in Johor at the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) held here.
He added that the development of Iskandar Malaysia was important to the state's future due to its strategic location, high concentration of manufacturing and service activities, and very strong logistic and other infrastructural support.
