Gunman shoots dead scrap metal trader
KUALA LUMPUR: An unidentified gunman wearing a ski mask shot dead a scrap metal trader at a stall in Batu Caves near here early Thursday, police said.
Gombak Police deputy chief Supt Rosly Hassan said the trader was identified as M. Siva Murugesan, 32, of Kampung Wira Damai, Jalan Sri Gombak, Selangor.
He said Siva Murugesan was having a drink with a friend at the stall when the assailant, a tall man wearing a blue pair of jeans, a white T-shirt with blue stripes and a ski mask, walked up to him at 12.30 am and fired three shots.
The trader died on the spot from bullet wounds in the chest, abdomen and both hands, he told Bernama when contacted.
Siva Murugesan's body was sent to the Selayang Hospital, which contacted the police after learning that death was caused by gunshot wounds. - Bernama
