Nik Aziz: Anwar should publicly clarify Israel statement

KOTA BARU: PAS spiritual leader Datuk Seri Nik Aziz Nik Mat wants PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to publicly clarify his statement on Israel to The Wall Street Journal.
"If he wants to meet us (PAS) to clarify himself, he's welcome to do it. But since his statement was made public, it would be more appropriate if he clarifies himself in public as well," said Nik Aziz during a press conference here Tuesday.
"Those who stand on the truth have nothing to fear," he added.
Nik Aziz had earlier urged the Opposition leader to retract his purported statement to The Wall Street Journal that he (Anwar) supported all actions taken to safeguard the security of Israel.
"If he (Anwar) did not make the statement, then I urge him to take legal action against The Wall Street Journal," Nik Aziz reiterated Tuesday.
