PETALING JAYA: A father of a 14-year-old girl created a ruckus when he yelled at press photographers for taking pictures of him and other parents who were at a police station to lodge reports against a school scoutmaster.

The man in his 40s, known only as Leong, had complained that his daughter was among the girls allegedly molested by the scoutmaster.

He shouted at the cameramen outside the Bandar Sri Damansara police station to stop photographing the parents.

Later, Leong said he would leave it to the police to deal with the media.

Meanwhile, OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said they had received three more reports over the issue yesterday.

“The parents came to lodge the police reports,” he said, adding that “there will be a thorough probe over the allegations”.

On Thursday, the scoutmaster, who only wanted to be known as Ho, met the press and denied he had sexually assaulted any of the students under his charge.

On Friday, the school that was implicated in the allegations said it would request that the police carried out background checks on those organising extra-curricular activities for students.
