Taib's younger brother passes away
KUCHING: Datuk Ibrahim Mahmud, the younger brother of Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, died of a stroke Thursday. He was 69.
A spokesman for the family said Ibrahim died at 7am at the Kuching Specialist Hospital.
Ibrahim was a director of Kristal Harta Sdn Bhd and executive director of Sarawak Pulp Industries Sdn Bhd, and had served in the police force.
He will be buried at the Demak Jaya Muslim cemetery in Jalan Bako here after the Zohor prayers.
