Pineapple board director found dead at home

JOHOR BARU: Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (Southern Zone) director Abdul Rahman Husin was found dead at his home in Taman Sri Pinang near Pontian Thursday, police said.

Pontian police chief Supt Zahaliman Jamin said Abdul Rahman, 52, was found lying face downward in the bathroom by his driver at about 7am.

"Abdul Rahman's driver had gone to the house to fetch him and drive him to Pulau Kukup national park to attend a World Wetlands Day event.

"The driver opened the grille and knocked on the wooden door repeatedly. When there was no answer, he forced open the door," he said.

Zahaliman said Abdul Rahman lived alone there as his family stayed in Batu Pahat.

He said police do not suspect foul play and the case has been classified as sudden death. - Bernama
