Personality award recipient gets RM1mil to expand foundation’s work

KUALA LUMPUR: Their love for education drove Madenjit Singh and his sons to sell their cars and TV sets to get money to help poor communities learn English.
Through their Sciences For Life Studies 24/7 (SOLS 24/7) organisation, the family spread the use of the English language to even the most remote areas.
Madenjit received the Better Malaysia Personality of the Year Award. “English is a second language for almost all of these people.
“We focus on teaching our students proper grammar structure to properly construct sentences,” said Dhinu Dhanveer Singh, 29, the elder of Madenjit's two sons.
“We are expanding our centres to Tioman, Redang and other places where they are urgently needed,” added younger son Raj Ridvan Singh, 28.
