Kedah MB refutes talk that he is quitting

ALOR SETAR: Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak has denied that he is resigning from his post as speculated by an online portal Tuesday.

He said the report was merely a psychological attack on him by people intimidated by his strong leadership.

The Bahasa Malaysia portal reported that Azizan's resignation could take effect in three hours from the time the news was published on Tuesday night.

It quoted a source within the Mentri Besar's office.

Azizan said such speculation could be from people who wanted him out from PAS.

"It could be ... I do not know. It also could be from people outside the party who want to see the PAS-led state government become weak."

Azizan added that he was now focusing on the general election and as the state Pakatan Rakyat leader, he would not leave his "soldiers" unattended.
