Snake charmer may lose hand after cobra bite

A COBRA bit Coimbatore city's renowned snake charmer Pambu Murugan, (Snake Murugan) leaving him in danger of losing his hand, reported Tamil Nesan.

He had approached the city's Collector (district officer) M. Karunagaran on Monday, seeking financial assistance of Rs100,000 (RM6,000) for surgery his only hope of saving his left hand.

Murugan said that the cobra had bitten him about two weeks ago during a late night operation, and that he had forgotten to bring along his life-saving herbal potion.
