Disabled man gets 21 years, whipping for sodomising uncle and brothers
KLANG: A mentally disabled man was sentenced by the Sessions court here Thursday to a total of 21 years in jail and six strokes of the rotan for sodomising his uncle, also mentally disabled, and two younger brothers last month.
Judge Siti Noraida handed down three seven-year sentences after the 22-year-old accused pleaded guilty to the charges, but ordered the jail sentence to run concurrently.
She ordered the man, from Sekinchan, Sabak Bernam, to serve the sentence from the date of his arrest on April 5 this year.
The man, who is self-employed, was charged with sodomising his 41-year-old uncle and two brothers, aged eight and 10 years, in a house at Sekinchan between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on March 23.
The charge was made under Section 377C of the Penal Code which carries a jail sentence of up to 20 years and a fine upon conviction.
Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Nor Azilah Mat asked the court to hand down a sentence commensurate with the offence, as the victims had family ties with the accused.
