Singapore syndicate offers gigolos for hire

GIGOLOS men who escort women for sexual favours are being offered for hire by a sex syndicate in Singapore via phone messages, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The promotion is accompanied by images of naked men, claimed to be from China, Vietnam and Thailand, and prospective clients are given the option of getting a “massage” from them.

However, the message that is supposed to reach only women and said to be sent out at random has also reached men.

One receiver, known only as Yen, complained to the media that he and his male friends had also received the message that is believed to have started circulating two weeks ago.

> The daily also reported that Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Penny Tai has decided not to carry a mobile phone as she did not want to be disturbed by calls or text messages.

“I had wanted to give up the mobile phone for a long time as I found my friends had become addicted to it.

“Besides, I do not like to send text messages,” she said.

Tai added that she enjoyed the “silent moment” without phone calls.

On how she could be contacted, she said: “Anyone looking for me will call my manager or my boyfriend.”

However, she added that her Taiwanese boyfriend felt disturbed when her friends call him.

Saying she and her boyfriend preferred to lie low, Tai hoped her friends and fans would not get upset if they decided to get married secretly.
