DPM tells Guan Eng to take responsibility for hillslope development

GEORGETOWN: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said on Saturday that Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had to take responsibilty for hillslope development in the state which has affected the environment.
"The federal government has clear guidelines on hillslope projects and the previous state government has also pledged to adhere to the guidelines.
"But somehow in Penang, Lim does whatever he feels like," said the Umno lawmaker.
Muhyiddin was commenting on the Consumers Association of Penang's call for halting hillslope development due to the recent approval of several hilly projects.
