61-year-old killed in robbery

KUALA KANGSAR: A senior citizen was killed while his wife managed to escape when four robbers entered their house in Taman Seri Melati.

Mohamad Ali Samsuddin 61, was found dead after the 3.30am robbery, Kuala Kangsar police chief Supt Abdul Ghaffar Muhammad said.

His body was sent to the Kuala Kangsar Hospital for a post-mortem.

The couple had just returned home after closing their mini market business about 3km from their house, Abdul Ghaffar said.

He said the robbers tied up Mohamad Ali's hands while his wife Rajiah Kamaruddin, 62, managed to escape and contacted the police.

Police who arrived at the scene found the victim's body on the floor with his hands tied. They managed to nab a 47-year-old suspect.

About five hours later, police caught two more suspects in Kuala Kangsar while another one is still at large. - Bernama
