Please move Putra Heights LRT station elsewhere

MY family and I have been staying at Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, for the past nine years.

It is our hope that the LRT drop-off only stations currently being developed here would be stopped.

This is because it will only cause traffic congestion and a mess in the area. I have been informed that the LRT tracks are undergoing construction from Putra Heights to USJ 10, 6, Goodyear Courts 3, 4 and 5 along Persiaran Kewajipan, less than 100m from residential areas.

The station is part of the Kelana Jaya LRT line extension project expected to be completed in 2014. Besides traffic congestion, my housing area may also be full of hawkers like in KTM Subang Jaya located behind Carrefour.

Once it is full of hawkers, it can become dirty.

Therefore, if the hawkers do not maintain cleanliness, it will affect the image of our country.

This is why dirty food stalls and drains were cited by tourists as negative aspects of Malaysian tourism, as blights on the country’s vibrant and natural beauty.

If tourists stop at Putra Heights LRT station and saw the dirty stalls, it can tarnish the image of the train company and our country.

Currently, there are also Rapid KL buses already parked less than 80m from the construction area in Putra Heights.

Once fully completed, taxi drivers and other car users will also park their cars and wait for their friends around the LRT station.

That will only cause massive jams and a huge mess daily.
