Housewife fined RM1,000 for damaging husband's car
KUALA LUMPUR: A housewife was fined RM1,000 by the Magistrate's Court here Friday after she pleaded guilty to committing mischief by smashing the windscreen of her husband's car last week.
Magistrate Parvin Hameedah Natchiar handed down the sentence on Yap Huey Nuo, 44.
Yap, who has two children, was charged with committing the offence against Sok Hock Quei, 43, at Jalan 17/42 Taman Lawa off Jalan Kuching, Sentul here at 6.25pm on June 10.
According to the facts of the case, the couple had a fight, during which Yap hurled a meat chopper at her husband's car.
Deputy public prosecutor Tan Siew Ping prosecuted, while Yap was represented by lawyer Rohani Ibrahim.
