PETALING JAYA: Actor Ryzal Jaafar, who aims to start his own fashion collection, draws his inspiration from the KRU brothers.
“The way they develop their talents, not only in the music industry but also in business, is impressive,” said the Kedah-born actor, whose real name is Shahrizal Jaafar.
While his acting career keeps him busy, he said business was a way to increase his earnings and secure a better future.
A stepping ston e: Ryzal is venturing into the business world to secure a better future. “It does not matter whether the business is large or small, as long as it can be a guarantee for the future. It will strengthen my financial position,” added Ryzal, saying that the KRU Studios - started by the Abdul Halim brothers Norman, Yusri and Edry in 1996 - had spawned many other ventures related to the entertainment and media industry.
Ryzal, 29, who started acting eight years ago as an extra, is targeting to sell his collection of Malay attires during the Ramadan month.
“I am eager to start the business despite my tight schedule,” he said, adding that his clothes would be on sale online from next month.
Ryzal, who has gained valuable business experience from his family's homestay project in Alor Setar and through selling cotton pillows, added: “Whatever venture I choose, I hope it will be successful.”
Regarding his show career, he said while he was not as popular as some other actors, he was satisfied that he's been able to maintain his “position” in the industry.
