PKR's Rafizi confirms contesting for parliamentary seat in next GE

By RAZAK AHMAD

PETALING JAYA: PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli has confirmed that he will be contesting a parliamentary seat in the next general election.

"Where I will stand, that will only be revealed at the last minute before nomination day, but there is one certainty, that I will contest.

"As for where, well, let's play the guessing game," said Rafizi when asked about talk that he would be contesting either in the Pandan or Kemaman parliamentary constituencies.

Speaking to reporters at the PKR headquarters here, Rafizi confirmed that he would be contesting in a parliamentary seat and not a state constituency.

Rafizi also reiterated that he resigned as chief executive of Selangor's state economic advisory office to focus on party work and his upcoming candidacy, and not because of the reported spat between PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
