Apartment residents left high and dry

WE have been facing water disruption in Belimbing Heights Apartment, Seri Kembangan, since some 10 days ago.

As a committee member of the apartment’s management unit, I know that we have been excellent paymasters when it comes to utility bills.

We have not encountered any crisis, until the present water supply disruption. Many residents have been forced to buy bottled water just to wash their face.

We have called the Syabas hotline and handphone of the person-in-charge, and were told that at least four water tankers would be despatched to us daily. But on average, only two tankers have showed up daily, and the water is insufficient to cover all our needs.

After numerous calls to Syabas, we were again assured that tankers would be sent over but the residents who were desperate for water waited at the guard house until 11.30pm, but no one came. We called the number again, but this time the phone was switched off.

Can Syabas explain what is going on?
