Health Ministry is looking into it
I REFER to the article “Compensation sought over nerve injury” (The Star, June 25).
The Health Ministry is aware of the incident and sympathises with Ms S. Puvaneswari who suffered injury during treatment at the Penang Hospital.
The Ministry has discussed the issue of compensation during an ex-gratia meeting with the representatives from the Attorney-General’s Chamber, Health Ministry legal advisors and the Medical Practice Division on June 22.
Ms Puvaneswari will be informed of the outcome of the meeting via mail.
