Mohd Zin wants Selangor MB to sack Faekah
SHAH ALAM: State Barisan Nasional coordinator Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohd has challenged Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to immediately sack his political secretary Faekah Husin.
Mohd Zin said with Faekah making headlines for the wrong reasons, the only way to put the issue to rest was for Khalid to remove her from the state government.
“Khalid sacked his former special officer Yahya Sahri in 2008 after Yahya was alleged to have misused the state government’s letterhead to collect donations.
“So why is similar action not taken against Faekah? Why the double standards?” Mohd Zin asked at a news conference at the state Umno building yesterday.
Faekah had reportedly issued a letter of support to a company, which applied for a state government contract.
According to several news portals and blogs, the company belonged to Faekah’s relative.
On another matter, Mohd Zin questioned the way the RM300mil SelangorKu grant was generated and disbursed.
Describing it as “suspicious”, he urged Khalid to release all information concerning the grant.
“We never got a concrete answer despite questioning him (Khalid) many times on how he received the money and how the money is being spent.
“He has only showed the grant’s accounts to the exco members but not to the public. What does he have to hide? Is the grant for election purposes?” he asked.
Mohd Zin said “insiders” had told him that Faekah was in charge of disbursing the grant.
When tabling the State 2012 budget last year, Khalid had announced that the RM300mil was allocated for the development of the state infrastructure in four phases.
On the latest reports received from the Barisan Nasional’s People Service Centre (Pakar), Mohd Zin said residents in the Klang Valley had expressed dissatisfaction over uncollected garbage in residential areas.
