Teacher loses RM10,000 worth of items in break-in


KUCHING: A teacher from Jalan Urat Mata here has lodged a police report stating that she lost valuables worth some RM10,000 in a break-in.

Wanting to be known only as Kho, 36, she said her husband reached home on Friday to find the front door of their home wide open.

She rushed home after being informed and proceeded to check on their belongings.

Missing were RM1,000 cash, three watches valued at RM4,000, an iPad worth RM2,000, jewellery worth RM2,400 and personal documents.

Police from Sekama station are investigating the case.

In an unrelated break-in, a housewife from Jalan Setia Raja was informed of the incident by a neighbour at around 6pm, Friday.

Surnamed Yeo, the 33-year-old rushed home to find that two televisions, one laptop, two mobile phones, jewellery worth RM4,800, two piggy banks and personal documents were taken.

She went to Sekama police station to lodge a report.
