Part of human body found in drain
PETALING JAYA: Part of a decomposing human body was found at Jalan SS22/41 in Damansara Jaya.
The remains, comprising the lower part of the body from the hip to the ankles, was discovered at about 11.50am yesterday.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said the remains could have been washed up from a nearby drain following heavy rain.
“The man had been dead for a few days, judging from the state of decomposition,” he said yesterday.
The body was clad in a pair of blue jeans.
He added that the remains were sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for post-mortem.
ACP Arjunaidi declined to comment when asked if the body could possibly belong to missing real estate agent Tang Yong Ching, 45.
