Student alleges four-hour assault by schoolmates

IPOH: A Form Four student at a boarding school in Kampung Gajah has alleged that he was mercilessly assaulted by 18 of his schoolmates for about four hours at their hostel on Saturday.
The 16-year-old victim, when met at his home in Kampung Sungai Tapah Tambahan in Manjoi here Sunday, said the group had kicked and punched him after accusing him of stealing RM100 from a student at a different dormitory.
He said he was beaten up between 1.30am and 5.45am.
The bruise on the body of the victim who claimed that he was beaten up by 18 students at a hostel in Kampung Gajah on Saturday. "I denied stealing the money and next I knew, they were raining punches and kicks on me," he said.
"I pleaded for them to stop but my cries fell on deaf ears," he said, adding that the assault had left him unable to move for several hours.
It is learnt that a police report has been lodged over the incident.
