Nine hurt, 50 evacuated in Singapore hotel fire
SINGAPORE: Nine people were injured in a fire Monday at a hotel in Marine Parade here which saw the evacuation of 50 people, The Straits Times reported.
The fire, which occurred at about 9am, consumed a showroom at the lobby of East Village Hotel.
The report said the nine injured, five adults and four children, were taken to the Singapore General Hospital.
Two Singapore Civil Defence Force fire-fighters were also taken to the hospital for minor injuries and heat exhaustion, it added. - Bernama
