African national found dead, believed to have fallen from flat

SEREMBAN: An African national was found dead after he is believed to have fallen from the 13th floor of the Sri Palma Flats in Mantin, near here, Thursday.

Nilai police chief Supt Mohd Yusof Awang said police were tipped off by the public on a body found on the five-foot path of the flats at noon.

"During a preliminary investigation at the victim's flat on the 13th floor of the building, police found signs in the corridor of the victim's flat to indicate that he had slipped.

"There was foam on the floor of the corridor outside the victim's unit, believed to be from a washing machine in the corridor," he said when contacted.

He said police also found a student pass in the flat which was believed to belong to the 26-year-old victim.

"We believe the victim was a student at one of the colleges nearby," he said.

The body was sent to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, near here, for a post mortem.

Mohd Yusof said that for now the case had been classified as sudden death.- Bernama
