What goes around comes around

I READ “Bad shopping habits leave a big hole in retailers’ pockets” (The Star, July 23) with amusement.

I couldn’t help but smile to myself at the irony of it all.

Like the saying goes, “what goes around, comes around”.

Yes, I am one of those who would sometimes poke around when I shop at big supermarkets. And you know why?

Once upon a time, I was a very ethical shopper and I would just pick stuff up like when shopping overseas. But on quite a few occasions, I felt very cheated because the outlets were unscrupulous.

They shrink wrap their products in such a way that the rotten or bad products were “hidden” underneath and not visible.

Shoppers would only find out they had been had when they get home and unpack the shrink-wrapped products.

So...who started this downward spiral?
