Browse through deals with KL MATTA Fair’s new app
KUALA LUMPUR: The KL MATTA Fair 2012 will be back in September this time with a digital edge.
The fair, to be held from Sept 7 to 9 at PWTC here, will have a smartphone application called eSales. The application was launched earlier this month.
The app will enable shoppers to browse through deals offered before heading to the fair.
Organising chairman Jeffri Sulaiman said this year's fair would be held on a slightly smaller scale, compared to the one in March due to the European economic crisis and coming general election.
“We're not expecting as many visitors because we predict fewer people will want to travel,” he said at the exhibitors' briefing and booth selection meeting at the PWTC yesterday.
He added that representatives from Iran would be promoting travel packages to the country for the first time at the September fair.
Jeffri said this fair was targeting 1,002 booths, with 80,000 visitors and RM80mil in revenue.
The KL MATTA Fair in March raked in over RM90mil and had 1,016 booths, making it the largest in the fair's history.
