DPM to announce water contingency plan for S’gor soon


PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to announce the contingency plan to deal with a possible water shortage in Selangor soon

Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin said the contingency plan would tide Selangor residents over until the Langat 2 treatment plant was completed.

"We are still gathering information on the matter.

"The DPM will make a statement on it, including the views from the Attorney-General soon," he said Wednesday after launching the ministry's Fly the Jalur Gemilang' campaign in conjunction with the Merdeka celebration.
